Time Has Flown By!

The month of December has gone by way too fast!  We have accomplished a lot, at least I think so this month.  John painted the nursery and has it completed for the most part, he will be adding crown molding on Saturday with the help of "Uncle" Steve.  The crib has been put together and I have finished painting the dresser!  Here is the dresser completed....

We got a smashing deal on the stroller that I have been eyeing since day 1 so we have that just need to put the wheels on.  I ordered our car seat through my employee purchase on Monday night and received it today, see the picture below!

The weekend before Christmas, my friend Sherri put together a shower for me and I was able to see Allison and Lisa too!  It was a mini reunion for us! :) As well as immediate family and friends too!  So..Baby M did really well, she has some great clothes, blankets, books, and toys to play with and my all time favorite...the "booger sucker" (Thanks Allison & Rita!)  Oh...and a good supply of diapers to start too!  Melissa, my sis-in-law, was the photographer for the day so she took some great photos that I will share below.  And I can't forget, Brent and Keri Meyer gave Baby M a cradle that was made by Brent that is absolutely gorgeous!!!!  Enjoy the pics!

This is only part of the cradle.  There is a bottom that makes the cradle glide back and forth.

And I can't forget that I also made Baby M a blanket too!  It is being quilted now, but hope to have it back soon!!!  Not the best lighting, but it is mostly pinks, browns, greens, and blues.

Baby M's Room Progress

Hello!
I am excited to share a few photos of Baby M's room progress.  John started painting today and got a lot done, but he will probably have to do a second coat on the pink.  I think it looks great so far. :)  See the picture below...
As you can see we still have the celebration balloons up...lol!  Great decor for now!!! :)

Uncle Steve and Aunt Joelle had a garage sale this weekend so we participated and got rid of "stuff" around our house.  So, with the profits I went to the quilt shop (I know my mom is proud :) ) to buy bedding fabric and I am going to make a quilt for Baby M too!  The ladies at the shop were super nice and helped me coordinate my fabric for the blanket!
This is the bedding fabric that we are going to use....

And these are the fabrics I chose for her blanket.  I am hoping that it all blends well together!

I will keep you posted on our room!  I have the dresser sanded and ready to be primed so maybe this week I will get it primed.  It's all coming along....

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello!

John and I have decided on our nursery colors, pink and brown with a few extra add-ons that I will share once we have the finished product! :)  I am excited to share that we found a dresser last night that will also double as our changing table too!  We have to "personalize" it but it is a solid piece that I am excited to work with.  See the picture below...

I had my 24 week check up this morning and everything seems to be going well.  Baby M's heartbeat was 146 and my belly is measuring right on!  Here's my latest belly shot...getting a bit bigger as the weeks progress, but thankful I am feeling great!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!  John and I are thankful for ALL of our wonderful family and friends!  Safe travels!

Road Block

So, since we have now found out that we are having a girl I am having a hard time finding a "theme" or fabric colors that fit both John and I.  We both have agreed to paint the room a shade purple color so I am looking for any suggestions on a theme or fabric choices.  So, any suggestions that you guys would like to make, I would appreciate it!! :)

Thanks!

It's a Girl!!!!

Last week, John and I found out that we are having a little girl!  We are very excited!!!  John and I had to place a bet before we went in so he chose boy and I chose girl and the winner got to choose the paint color of the nursery so.....I am having fun bringing home paint colors! :)  Pictures from our ultrasound....

For the most part I have been feeling great!  I have noticed considerable growth in my stomach, but I am assuming that is to be expected! :)  I have my 20 week check up on Friday.  I can't believe that we are halfway there and it seems like there is so much to do yet, but I am sure we will get it done.  Here is my latest picture just taken tonight.

John and I went to Kansas City last weekend for his uncle's wedding and we came home to house decorated in purple and pink!  Thank you "Uncle" Steve & "Aunt" Joelle!!!  It was a great surprise! :)  See the pictures below of a few of the decorations.  You can also see our blue and brown room which is our nursery so I will be changing those colors. :)

Our First......

I was happy to come home today and there was a package waiting for us.  It was from a co worker in Southern California, where we share the same "love" for Apple products!  The onesie it too cute not to share with you! :)  And it is the first piece of clothing for our little one!
I had my 16 week check up today.  The baby had a 160 heartbeat which was loud and strong.  The doctor said everything is good so far.  Looking forward to week 18-20, where we have decided to find out the sex!  I will also add a belly shot at 15 weeks.  I am happy that so far I am still wearing "normal" clothes! :)

Just the Beginning.....

I have decided to "blog" about our progress of what's to come for John, me, and Sadie in about 5 1/2 months.  I made it successfully through the first trimester with no big issues other than feeling tired.  I must have found my energy back on Sunday because I had the ambition to finish a quilt that I had been working on for probably 7 years!  For my first one, I think it turned out nicely, but I need to send it to my mom to finish it off so we will see what the final verdict is. :)
I am anxiously awaiting to find out the sex, but we still haven't 100% agreed on it....John could go either way, but he is really wanting to repaint our guest room! :)
