Time Has Flown By!

The month of December has gone by way too fast!  We have accomplished a lot, at least I think so this month.  John painted the nursery and has it completed for the most part, he will be adding crown molding on Saturday with the help of "Uncle" Steve.  The crib has been put together and I have finished painting the dresser!  Here is the dresser completed....

We got a smashing deal on the stroller that I have been eyeing since day 1 so we have that just need to put the wheels on.  I ordered our car seat through my employee purchase on Monday night and received it today, see the picture below!

The weekend before Christmas, my friend Sherri put together a shower for me and I was able to see Allison and Lisa too!  It was a mini reunion for us! :) As well as immediate family and friends too!  So..Baby M did really well, she has some great clothes, blankets, books, and toys to play with and my all time favorite...the "booger sucker" (Thanks Allison & Rita!)  Oh...and a good supply of diapers to start too!  Melissa, my sis-in-law, was the photographer for the day so she took some great photos that I will share below.  And I can't forget, Brent and Keri Meyer gave Baby M a cradle that was made by Brent that is absolutely gorgeous!!!!  Enjoy the pics!

This is only part of the cradle.  There is a bottom that makes the cradle glide back and forth.

And I can't forget that I also made Baby M a blanket too!  It is being quilted now, but hope to have it back soon!!!  Not the best lighting, but it is mostly pinks, browns, greens, and blues.

Baby M's Room Progress

Hello!
I am excited to share a few photos of Baby M's room progress.  John started painting today and got a lot done, but he will probably have to do a second coat on the pink.  I think it looks great so far. :)  See the picture below...
As you can see we still have the celebration balloons up...lol!  Great decor for now!!! :)

Uncle Steve and Aunt Joelle had a garage sale this weekend so we participated and got rid of "stuff" around our house.  So, with the profits I went to the quilt shop (I know my mom is proud :) ) to buy bedding fabric and I am going to make a quilt for Baby M too!  The ladies at the shop were super nice and helped me coordinate my fabric for the blanket!
This is the bedding fabric that we are going to use....

And these are the fabrics I chose for her blanket.  I am hoping that it all blends well together!

I will keep you posted on our room!  I have the dresser sanded and ready to be primed so maybe this week I will get it primed.  It's all coming along....
